Now For The Fun Part!
We’re starting the move into our new building, and are so excited to share a peek of the cat room with you! The best part—it will be a large, sunny space for the cats to have room to stretch out and play.
Free-roaming or communal cat rooms offer several benefits for shelter cats, including a more natural environment for cats to interact and engage in natural behaviors, as well as fostering a sense of community and reducing stress.
The free-roaming room in our new facility will be a place that not only the cats will be able to perch, play and rest, it will also be open to the public! Potential adopters will be able to interact with our adoptable cats in a more natural and comfortable setting, in addition to having space to play with them.
Any help in preparing the space would be greatly appreciated! Your donations will go towards:
-Brand new cages to give cats opportunity to be as social as they choose
-Multiple litter box enclosures
-Scratching posts
-Climbing trees and shelves
-Hammocks and other resting nooks
-Feeding stations for food and water
-Interactive cat toys and other enrichment activities
