Emergency Care for 11 Neglected Yorkies
Any donation you can make will help them.
“I’ve been on so many seizures and I’ve seen a lot of things, but nothing like this. They’re all just too little.”
Minutes ago, we took in 11 Yorkies and Terriers from an absolutely heartbreaking living situation. These animals were confined to beyond-filthy crates inside a home overwhelmed by squalor. We were told they were in rough shape, but nothing could have prepared us for what we saw at their arrival.
Two of the dogs needed to go straight into our clinic and the rest will be examined by our veterinary staff shortly. Every single one is severely matted, several have visible eye issues, but beyond that we don’t yet know the full extent of their condition. Given the situation they were living in, it is clear they haven’t received proper care in a very long time...or possibly ever. Somehow, each of these pups easily allowed us to gently lift and carry them into our facility without hesitation.
We are committed to doing everything we can to help all 11 of these little dogs heal, but we need your help to make sure no difficult decisions ever have to be made on their behalf. Please consider donating any amount you can to support their urgent medical care and the ongoing care they will inevitably need. We promise to share updates every step of the way.
A heartfelt thank you to Patrick County Public Animal Shelter for stepping in first, giving them an initial clean up, and for making the trek to safely bring them here.
Now, these sweet animals are safe, warm, and finally in a place where care comes first.
